About Amanda
Amanda has been drawing and painting at a high standard since she was a child and decided to qualify as a Fine Artist when she was 27 years old.
She attained a Distinction when she attended a BTEC GNVQ course in the subject of Art and Design in 2007, which drov e her to continue with her higher education and received another distinction for her HND in Fine Art in 2008.
Amanda was then offered a Bachelor’s Degree which she attended until 2011 when she graduated with an Upper Second Class Bachelor's degree with Honours.
Post-graduation she was artist in residence at a Zoo Park in Kent, won a “Best Emerging Artist” Prize in Battle with her sculptures and had Commissions for an array of Canine and animal Portraits, which helped her improve her painting skills and employ her keen eye for detail, forming her own artistic identity within her technique.
Presently she has been creating work using the Monochrome and the Hyperrealism genre and takes on commissions of different subjects, surrounding identity and natural form.
